Clean Slate Docs was born from a deeply personal experience that changed how I viewed second chances. Years ago, I was assaulted, and in the absence of witnesses or cameras, the other person filed the exact same charges against me. Even though I was never convicted and never even went before a judge, that record stayed on my name. It followed me, showing up in background checks, limiting opportunities, and serving as a reminder of something I didn’t do.
Eventually, I learned about record expungement, a legal process that allows certain charges to be permanently removed from your record. Going through that process gave me something priceless: peace of mind, freedom, and a clean start. It also opened my eyes to how difficult it can be for others to navigate on their own.
As a business leader and founder, I’ve built companies that solve complex problems through clear systems and practical solutions. When I realized how many people live with old, minor records that hold them back from jobs, housing, or simply moving forward, I knew this was a problem worth solving.
